Via Giovanni Pascoli 46, 47030 San Mauro Pascoli (Forlì-Cesena, Emilia-Romagna)
This house in the Romagna countryside was inhabited by Giovanni Pascoli (1855-1912) in his childhood years. Its rooms, however, are often mentioned with affection in Pascoli's poetry.
The house is part of the Coordinamento delle Case museo dei poeti e degli scrittori di Romagna, a board coordinating several House Museums in the area, devoted to writers or poets who lived, worked or found new roots in the Romagna region.
The Coordinamento also includes the Casa Vincenzo Monti in Alfonsine, the Casa Marino Moretti in Cesenatico, the Casa Alfredo Oriani - Il Cardello in Casola Valsenio (where the board has its headquarters), the Casa Alfredo Panzini in Bellaria, the Casa Aurelio Saffi in San Varano and the Casa Renato Serra in Cesena.
These House Museums narrate some of the history and culture of Romagna, through authors who lived on the spot, or to whom the place has been dedicated.
If you plan to visit, please check on the House Museum's website.
